No Dutch person has never heard his music
As a composer of theme tunes, he was responsible for the music of the NOS Journaal, among others. He does not limit himself to such short-term work. Home Ground is Emmer's fourth album, featuring a true star-studded cast of guest vocalists.
Soul is the starting point this time. The tastefully and richly arranged Everybody's movin' (with vocals by Dwight Tribe) is reminiscent of the symphonic soul of Isaac Hayes from the seventies. In Yesterday oh yesterday, Frank McComb sounds like Stevie Wonder in that same era.
